What Is Covered

If our inspection confirms a manufacturing defect under normal household use, we will replace the item with the same SKU. If the exact product is discontinued, we will provide an equivalent product of the same value. Replacement may be new or refurbished at Mellow's discretion.


Examples of qualifying defects:

  • Comforters: seam or baffle failure causing significant fill migration, fabric delamination, zipper failure (if present)

  • Pillows: zipper failure, insert or foam breakdown beyond normal softening such as over 30% permanent height loss when measured off-load on a flat surface, seam failure, fabric delamination


What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear: pilling, minor snags, ordinary softening or flattening, color fade

  • Comfort preference or perceived firmness/loft changes that are not a defect

  • Washing, drying, ironing, steaming, or detergent damage

  • Heat, sunlight, humidity, mildew, improper storage

  • Odors, stains, liquids, bodily fluids, cosmetics, smoke

  • Pets, scratches, tears, cuts, burns, chewing, accidents, or intentional damage

  • Insects, bedbugs, contamination, mold

  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, failure to follow care instructions

  • Commercial or non-residential use

  • Purchases from unauthorized sellers, loss or theft, shipping damage after delivery

  • Any claim without the item's original packaging and required documentation


Eligibility and Activation

  • Purchase one plan per item in the same order as the item

  • Register the plan within 30 days of delivery

  • Provide your order number and contact info

  • Upload clear photos of the item and its original packaging (outer sleeve, bag, box, and any inner case)

  • Plan applies only to the original purchaser and the specific registered item


How to File a Claim

  1. Email within 30 days of discovering the issue: support@mellowsleep.com

  2. Include your order number, product name/SKU, a description of the issue, and clear photos or video of the defect, the SKU or product labels, and the original packaging

  3. If preliminarily approved, we will issue an RMA and a return label

  4. You must ship the entire product back within 7 days of the RMA

  5. Include all original packaging

  6. Pay a $15 processing/restocking fee per claim

  7. Inbound shipping is customer-paid. Outbound replacement shipping is covered to the contiguous U.S.

  8. After inspection (up to 30 days), if a qualifying defect is confirmed, we will send a replacement of the same SKU or equivalent product of the same value


Important: There is only one covered replacement per plan. Replacement items are not covered by the original plan.

Mellow's total liability is limited to the original purchase price of the covered item. Some states do not allow certain limitations on implied warranties or incidental or consequential damages. Where prohibited, those limits may not apply.


Dispute resolution: Any dispute relating to this plan will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. No class actions or consolidated proceedings. You may pursue claims in small claims court if eligible.


Governing law: the law of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Venue for any permitted court action will be Delaware.

This plan ends when a covered replacement is issued, when you no longer own the item, or if the plan is canceled or voided under these terms.
