The fiber inside is Naia™, made from sustainably sourced wood pulp. It's independently tested and OEKO-TEX® certified, which means it's proven safe from hundreds of harmful substances and gentle enough for long-term contact with sensitive skin. You might notice "polyester" on the tag. New plant-based fibers like Naia are unfortunately still classified that way, even though they start as wood, not plastic.
It's hypoallergenic, 100% vegan with no feathers or animal products, and the whole comforter goes straight in the washing machine. No duvet cover, no dry cleaning, no special care.
WHY WE BUILT IT
A Bedding Company That Took Hot Sleepers Seriously
Bedding is what we do at Mellow. And the most common thing we heard from sleepers was the same story: every "cooling" blanket they tried felt cold in the store and hot by midnight.
So instead of adding a cold coating to an ordinary blanket, we rebuilt the inside. We chose Naia™, a breathable fiber made from wood pulp, because it moves heat and moisture out all night instead of trapping it. Then we gave it two cool sides, kept it light, and made the whole thing machine washable.

Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The fill is built to wash evenly and fluff back up in the dryer, no clumping, no flat spots. No duvet cover and no dry cleaning needed.
Do I need a duvet cover?
No. The shell is built in, so there's nothing to wrestle into a cover and nothing extra to buy or wash.
Can I use it year-round?
Yes. Use it on its own in the warmer months, then layer a throw on top when temperatures drop. Plenty of customers use it all year.
When can I expect my order?
