Twice the filling of a normal comforter. It looks tall on the bed and stays that way.
Most comforters go flat inside a year. The MarshMellow is double-stuffed, and box stitching holds the fill in place so it can't drift to the edges, even after you wash it.
The shell is a baby-soft knit made to sleep against directly. You don't need a duvet cover. It's also the warmest comforter on this list, which is exactly what you want from October on.
2X fuller than other comforters
No duvet cover needed
OEKO-TEX certified, gentle on sensitive skin
Machine washable, one per load

Skip it if you sleep hot all year. The CloudCool is your pick.
“When I pulled it out of the box, I literally said, OMG it’s SO fluffy. Like, not fake fluffy, actually thick and soft in a way that feels expensive.”

One side is cold to the touch. Flip it over when you want soft.
The Arctic Silk side feels cool the second you slide under it. The CloudKnit side is softer, like a good T-shirt, and still runs cool. Between the two is a light fill with air channels that let heat out instead of holding it against you.
Hot sleepers are still hot sleepers in December. Plenty of people keep this one on the bed all year and add a throw on the coldest nights.
Arctic Silk side for max chill
CloudKnit side for soft cool

Skip it if you run cold, or you want a tall, puffy bed. Go with the MarshMellow.
“I have a few varieties of their pillows, the marshmellow comforter (amazing btw, but can get hot some nights) and now this cooling blanket. […] I have tried about 30 brands and not a single helped except this one.”

The big white hotel-bed look, without a single feather inside.
CloudFill goes inside a duvet cover. The fill is made of fine fiber clusters shaped like goose down, so you can squash it flat and watch it spring back.
It's sewn into 3D air chambers. They hold warmth in pockets and let extra heat escape, which puts CloudFill in the middle of this list: warmer than the CloudCool, lighter than the MarshMellow.
Down-like loft, zero feathers
Stays even inside any duvet cover
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
OEKO-TEX certified materials
CloudFill needs a cover. If you don't already have one, check out the MellowSoft Duvet Set.
Skip it if you'd rather not deal with a duvet cover. The MarshMellow goes straight on the bed.
“I wanted that huge, fluffy hotel-bed look without using real down and this absolutely delivered.”
Kristine L.

What people ask before they buy
Which one is the warmest?
The MarshMellow. It has double the fill, so it holds the most heat. The CloudFill comes next, then the CloudCool, which is built to let heat out.
What's the difference between a comforter and a duvet insert?
A comforter has a finished outer fabric you sleep against directly. A duvet insert goes inside a removable cover, and you wash the cover more often than the insert.
The MarshMellow. It has double the fill, so it holds the most heat. The CloudFill comes next, then the CloudCool, which is built to let heat out.
Can I use the CloudCool in winter?
Yes, if you sleep hot. Lots of hot sleepers keep it on the bed year-round. On the coldest nights, layer a throw on top.
Will the MarshMellow be too hot for me?
If you're comfortable under a normal comforter, you'll be fine. If you wake up sweaty most nights, pick the CloudCool instead.
Do I need a duvet cover?
Only for the CloudFill. If you need one, the MellowSoft Duvet Set fits it.
How do I wash them?
All three go in the washing machine. The MarshMellow does best in a front-loader, one per load, then low heat or air dry. The CloudCool can go in the dryer. Wash the CloudFill cold, tumble dry low and give it a shake afterward.
Is there any real down inside?
No. All three are down alternatives with no feathers, so there are no quills poking through and nothing to set off a feather allergy.
What if I don't like it?
Every comforter here comes with a 30-night trial. Sleep on it for a month. If it's not right, send it back.
Still not sure? Start with the MarshMellow.
14,691 people have reviewed it, and the average is 4.9 stars. If it runs too warm for you, you have 30 nights to send it back.
